Install your first widget

  1. Sign in and create a workspace.
  2. Create a project under Projects and enter your website domain.
  3. Open the project’s Installation button and copy its installation script into your website's head section. Deploy your website, open it, then return to the installation panel. “Script detected” confirms that the script has connected; “Installation pending” means no connection has been detected yet.
  4. Open Widgets, create a banner or slideout, and choose its content, position, and display rules.
  5. Test the interactive preview at desktop and mobile sizes. Save the draft, then publish it. Publishing prepares the widget for delivery; the website script must also be installed for visitors to see it. Reload a matching page on your website to test the result.
  6. Review impressions and clicks under Analytics. Unpublish to stop displaying it. Open pages refresh published widgets approximately every 30 seconds.

A workspace is your company or team. Each website is a project with its own installation script, widgets, and analytics. Use the workspace menu in the sidebar and the project menu in the header to switch context.

Page Rules support exact paths and wildcard patterns such as /blog/*. Changes to a published widget remain in its draft until you publish again.

The script reports a minimal connection signal even when engagement tracking is disabled or no widgets are published. Installation status shows the last detected connection; after 24 hours without one, it asks you to check again. It does not verify domain ownership. Changing the domain, allowed origins, or site key resets installation detection.

Use Theme behavior in the widget editor to follow your website, use light only, or use dark only. Edit the Light and Dark palettes separately for widget and button colors, including hover and border colors. The preview theme selector shows either palette without changing what is published. Follow website recognizes light/dark classes and data-theme, data-color-scheme, or data-bs-theme on the html or body element, then CSS color-scheme, and finally the visitor’s system preference. Theme changes update the widget without reloading it. Existing widgets keep their original light palette until you enable another mode.

Fixed banners expose their combined heights as the CSS variables --regenux-banner-top-height and --regenux-banner-bottom-height. Your website can use these to reserve space around its layout. The values update as banners resize, stack, or are dismissed.

Widgets send engagement events to Embed. Review your site's privacy and consent requirements before enabling tracking. Site settings control allowed origins and whether tracking is enabled.
